Waterfront

Experience camping in a private paradise by the water with amazing views of sunrises and sunsets.  There's a good chance you will get a glimpse of beavers building their dams along the shoreline or see numerous rare black squirrels circle the many tall trees playing gleefully.  Many species of birds and wildlife make their home here, including white-tailed deer, feral hogs, fox, coyote, bobcat, raccoon, rabbit and various waterfowl. Love to fish!  Two docks available for fishing and kayaking.  Just cast a line for crappie, bass and catfish and cook fresh at your campsite.  Socialize with your friends and family in the evenings around campfires while roasting marshmallows and toasting your favorite beverages.  Music allowed at sites and around property, however we ask guests to be respectful of other campers and limit noise after 10:00 p.m.

Whether staying in your own RV or Tent Camping requires a high level of self-sufficiency to ensure you have an enjoyable experience. No worries if bringing RV.  There are designated RV slots with 30/50 Amps and water at each pad.  Outdoor restroom nearby offers hot showers.

TENT CAMPING - Plan on no water, electric, cable, or Wifi hookups at the site(s) you choose. Welcome to use water hydrant and electric plugs at Outdoor Restroom area. Select your own spot to pitch tent.  Use your hotspot for social device enjoyment!

What if you forget something?  Don't worry, it's about a mile to the nearest little country grocery store and restaurant called "Granpops".  Granpops has it ALL!  Beer, BAIT, BURGERS and more!  They serve up some great hamburgers and other home-style meals.  Most people have "Hot Spots" on their phones these days.  Don't let all the "whats and ifs" deter you.  With a little bit of planning, a healthy dose of the adventurous spirit, your camping experience will make you crave more.   Here's some items to think about:

Water, toiletries, privacy tents, fire starters, cooking utensils, pots and pans, stove, fuel, utensils, first-aid kit, sunscreen, bug spray, sleeping bag, pillow, backpack, chairs, ice chest, trash bags.  We ask that you please haul off your own trash or use the brown garbage bins by entryway.

NOTE:  Along with the recent new Outdoor Restroom facility, Camp Joy is currently planning more amenities like you experience in State Parks, along with picnic tables and fire pits.  Our business model will be to keep it natural with some enhanced amenities for a comfortable stay.  Please be patient as we continue our planning and construction phases.
